N. Kannan (or NK as he is affectionately known) is an accomplished marketing professional with over four decades of marketing and leadership experience at the helm of Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams, primarily with M/s Larsen and Toubro. He has been passionate about sales and marketing since early in his career and worked with customers from a diverse range of industries like refineries, fertilizers, oil & gas, cement, steel, sugar, and power. He has consistently demonstrated the ability to develop robust sales and marketing strategies and possesses a unique talent for helping businesses scale up and secure key projects. Kannan has travelled extensively as a part of his work across India, China, the USA, Europe and the Gulf.
Kannan’s ‘never-give-up’ attitude, long-term vision, exceptional communication skills and easy-going personality have ensured great professional success. His leadership style is characterized by remarkable people skills, managing multi-functional and multi-location teams with finesse, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
After retiring from corporate life in January, 2023, Kannan is now sharing his wealth of experience with MSMEs as a Manufacturers 3X Growth Consultant, reflecting his commitment to nurturing the growth of the business ecosystem.
Kannan, a Tamilian by birth who was raised in Bhilai (Chattisgarh), has traversed the length and breadth of India through his work. Eventually, he found his home in Mumbai, where he currently resides with his family. His frequent travels coupled with his knack for picking up new languages (he is fluent in English and five other Indian languages) enable him to make an instant connection with people. A graduate of NIT, Surat, Kannan is also passionate about sports and might throw in obscure sports facts during conversations. In his free time, he likes to hang out with his young ‘best friend’, his grandson, Vishrut.
